More than 350 clinical trials professionals recently attended the inaugural session of CTrials, a new professional society in Israel for the advancement of biomedical research.
CTrials is the first professional forum to serve as a source of knowledge and support for those involved in clinical trials in Israel. Beachwood’s economic development team has been instrumental in building bridges between the biomedical communities of Greater Cleveland and Israel to create new business opportunities.
Dr. Michael Lincoff of the Cleveland Clinic presented the keynote address at the CTrial session. Lincoff, director of the Center for Clinical Research of the Lerner Research Institute, is also the director of the Cleveland Clinic Coordinating Center for Clinical Research (C5Research), an academic research organization that plans, coordinates and manages multi-center clinical trials of new drug and device therapies.
Israel has increasingly become an important location for American companies conducting multi-national clinical trials because of its world-class medical schools and academic research institutions.
